ROLE DESCRIPTION

Yung Prodigy is a newly established charity organisation focussed on young people experiencing parental incarceration. We are looking to expand our small team and find the best match for our cause.

If you are ambitious, innovative and open for a challenge, this position may be for you. Experience is desired but we are open to any and all candidates who show a genuine interest in our values and vision. As Yung Prodigy is a start-up, this role will mean we are building from the ground up. We value taking a collaborative approach to work with equal weight given to everyone’s experience, rather than job title. With this approach, the successful candidate will have the leadership skills to create a strategy which expands Yung Prodigy’s reach through innovation, collaboration and human rights based principles.

• Publications, submissions and statements 
• Newsletters
• Website content
• Awareness raising
• Collaboration and partnerships 
• other mediums of communication you see fit. 

ABOUT YOU

• Passionate about human rights and social justice 
• Interested or experienced in social justice advocacy 
• Interested or experienced in understanding the justice system 
• Proactive, organised and great communication skills 
• Good time management skills 
• Creative, innovative and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Passionate about the non profit space 
• Have knowledge or experience taking a trauma-informed and culturally safe approach to work.

TIME REQUIRED

4-8 hours per week.
